Our client, an award-winning consulting firm with a strong presence across Canada, is actively seeking a highly skilled Registered Professional Planner (RPP) to join their thriving Toronto team. Renowned for their collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to urban design and planning, the firm works on an array of impactful projects.

THE ROLE

This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned Urban Planner ( intermediate or senior level) with 5+ years of private-sector consulting experience. There is also potential for a leadership role as an Associate or Senior Associate for candidates with exceptional expertise. The role involves close collaboration with developers on mid-rise, high-rise, and mixed-use institutional projects.

Key responsibilities include preparing policy reports, performing detailed analysis, reviewing urban design guidelines, managing application submissions, and conducting community engagement initiatives to advance development projects.

The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in land use planning at both regional and municipal levels. They must excel at crafting project strategies, leading public consultation efforts, and delivering planning solutions in partnership with internal teams and external stakeholders.


WHAT'S REQUIRED
The ideal candidate should have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of professional experience, with strong knowledge of Ontario’s legislative and policy framework.
  • A current RPP designation in good standing 
  • A proven track record on developer-led projects 
  • Outstanding analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A collaborative mindset for client relations and maintaining strong professional networks.
  • Leadership abilities to mentor junior team members and grow into a senior role.
  • Business development skills (an asset but not required).
