About the Role:
The Senior Project Architect will play a pivotal role in further shaping the firm’s future in the academic sector, with a focus on educational projects. This visionary leader will drive deeper impact and expand the firm’s presence by providing strategic direction, overseeing project execution, and mentoring the team. With a proven track record of collaborating with Lower Mainland school boards and delivering meaningful educational spaces, this position offers the opportunity to lead transformative projects, enhance communities, and build a dedicated team for continued growth. Working closely with the firm’s leadership, the role provides a clear pathway to an Associate-level title and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of educational projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, community needs, and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with school boards, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver impactful, functional, and sustainable solutions.

• Support the firm’s growth in the educational sector by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and contributing to business development efforts.

• Mentor and develop a team of architects and designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

• Oversee all phases of project execution, from concept through construction administration, ensuring design excellence and technical precision.

• Ensure compliance with BC Building Code, VBBL, and municipal permitting processes.

• Work closely with the leadership team to establish strategic goals and a roadmap for growth in the educational sector.

What You Bring:

• A professional degree in Architecture and registration with the AIBC (or eligibility).

• 10+ years of architectural experience, including significant work on educational projects.

• Proven experience leading complex projects and collaborating with Lower Mainland school boards.

• Strong knowledge of BC Building Code, VBBL, and municipal permitting processes.

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and related software.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• A commitment to creating innovative and community-driven educational environments.
