Our client is a National leader in the Real Estate market.  Established, reputable and successful.  With offices across Canada, this position is located at Headquarters in North York.

JOB SUMMARY   
The Manager of Finance oversees the financial operations of the corporate brokerage and financial services for agent corporations. This role is responsible for managing financial accounting, reporting, accounts payable, and receivable, ensuring strong financial controls, operational efficiency, and alignment with the brokerage's strategic goals. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounts Payable Management
Oversee vendor invoicing, payment approvals, and disbursements via EFT, wire transfers, and cheques. Ensure expense coding accuracy, compliance with policies, and strong internal controls. 

Accounts Receivable Management
Manage invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of agent and client receivables. Monitor aging reports, resolve outstanding balances, and enhance collections through proactive measures. 

Financial Reporting
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements. Prepare variance analyses, review journal entries, and support audits in compliance with IFRS/GAAP. 

Realtor Contract Management
Ensure accuracy in compensation plans, commission calculations, and payouts through regular reviews and audits. 

Internal Control & Compliance
Develop and enforce internal controls across treasury, payables, and compliance with financial regulations, tax filings, and GST/HST remittances. 

Leadership & Development
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines. 

QUALIFICATIONS 
  • CPA designation required with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. 
  • Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, including IFRS, budgeting, and financial analysis. 
  • Proven leadership and people management skills. 
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros). 
  • Experience with real estate brokerage accounting, LoneWolf Back Office, and Microsoft Great Plains is an asset. 
SKILLS 
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills. 
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset. 
  • Effective communicator with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences. 
  • Calm under pressure with a focus on process improvements.
