Our client is a leading investment management firm providing capital to middle market companies across North America.
Looking to add a new Senior Tax Analyst position to the team to support the growth of the organization. Reporting into the Director of Tax, this role has responsibilities not limited to:
- Tax Compliance: partnership and corporate tax returns, annual filings, prepare, review and organize tax files and supporting working papers
- Tax Planning: assist with M&A tax planning, manage monthly/quarterly/annual tax provisions, prepare and forecast safe income and partnership balances, recommend tax distribution payments/dividends, tax review of financial statements and collaboration with tax advisors as needed.
- Operations and Reporting: coordinating with other team members on details needed for tax compliance, assist finance and accounting team with preparation and review of financial statements, assist Director of Tax as needed and participate in special projects as required.
- Accounting Degree, CPA, CFA, MBA or similar designation is preferred
- CICA In-Depth Tax program required
- 4+ years preparing and reviewing Canadian Income Tax
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Tax requirements, specifically partnership and corporate tax rules
- Private Equity experience is preferred
- Strong technology skills, fluent in tax application software and Advanced Excel
- Excellent communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
