Summary:




We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our client's service department, oversee operations meetings, manage field employees, and ensure quality control and safety for all projects.










What You’ll Do:


 
  •  Oversee the operations department, focusing on performance, efficiency, and project profitability.
  • Supervise Lead Service Technicians and field service personnel to ensure project efficiency, adherence to specifications, and compliance with manufacturer’s warranty requirements and company standards for service calls.
  • Collaborate with sales, project management, and estimating teams to provide technical roofing knowledge and alternatives as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, crews, and the company.
  • Evaluate wages and job performance for all operations employees.
  • Review operational reports such as time and attendance records, terminations, new hires, transfers, budget expenditures, and performance data statistics.
  • Conduct field inspections for quality control and estimating purposes, including detailed reporting to estimating and other duties as required.
  • Assist in creating high-quality repair estimates, roof surveys, preventive maintenance reports, drawings, and other deliverables for clients.
  • Verify payroll consolidation and entry.
  • Generate management reports, including profitability reports and bid logs.
  • Handle personnel matters, including hiring, firing, and professional development of service staff.
  • Schedule and dispatch field personnel as required.
  • Supervise field employees daily through job site visits and job ticket reviews to ensure quality and customer service standards are met.
  • Manage safety protocols and training, including required meetings, certifications, and documentation.
  •  Purchase materials as needed.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and administration of contractual proposals, contracts, and purchase orders related to construction projects.
  • Utilize CRM software (e.g., Salesforce and ADP) for reporting and sales management.
  • Train Field Technicians to use Salesforce software for project information entry and completion.
  • Ensure project scope of work, safety, and quality standards comply with policy.
  • Review and implement procedures to meet department customer call-back request standards.
  • Maintain relationships with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Update and maintain the project management/development tracking tool.
  • Organize and maintain all construction documents.




What You’ll Need:


 
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Considered: Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required: Five years of commercial roofing experience or related experience in manufacturing or distribution within the commercial roofing market.
  • Experience in estimating and managing commercial roofing service projects.
