Summary of Position:
Our client is seeking a senior job captain with over 8 years of experience in the architectural industry. This individual will be responsible for the delivery of all technical aspects of a project through design development, construction documentation and through to contract administration.

Role Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage project schedules as they relate to delivering the technical project documents for all project sizes and typologies
• Resolve complex design and technical issues; provide technical expertise in the detailed design of buildings for all project sizes and typologies, including large or complex projects
• Prepare contract drawings, coordinate specifications, schedules, details and sketches from conceptual design through to construction
• Provide leadership and direction to team members to develop in-house expertise and methodologies (technical and quality standards, etc.) to advance the group and the efficiency and effectiveness of the firm's architectural work
• Lead the building of architectural BIM models, starting in Concept/Schematic Design and through all design and construction phases
• Lead model and drawing coordination with the project consultant team using cloud-based software
• Contract administration of medium-sized to larger, with minimal supervision, including discipline coordination and working with Clients, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, and Contractors directly where required

Qualifications: 

• 8+ years of experience as an architectural technologist, including a minimum of five years as a Job Captain overseeing technical production on medium to larger sized, complex projects
• Strong Revit skills and working knowledge of AutoCAD is required
• Ability to use Photoshop, SketchUp or other 3D Modeling, Animation, Rendering computer graphics programs is a plus
• Architecture or Architectural Technology Degree required
• Educational, Healthcare, Corporate and Sports experience preferred.
• LEED AP is an asset 
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple projects, with tight deadlines
• Strong knowledge of California building codes, building construction systems, building materials and specifications
• Visual/graphic, written and verbal communication skills with a focus on effective collaboration and integration
