$50,000- $60,000 +commission

Location: Baltimore, MD

 

As a Contractor / Builder Sales Representative with a 5th generation company, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our products and services to contractors, builders, and construction companies. Your role will involve developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to drive sales and achieve business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target potential clients within the construction and building industry, including contractors and builders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and providing customized solutions.
  • Promote and sell our products and services to contractors and builders, highlighting features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions to educate clients about our offerings.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with clients to secure sales and build long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure client satisfaction and timely delivery of products and services.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver sales reports, forecasts, and presentations to management.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to represent the company and expand professional connections.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the construction or building industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction products, materials, and services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients and industry professionals.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to sales and customer service.
  • Knowledge of local construction market trends and competitor offerings.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, marketing, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
