Our client, a fast-growing Canadian CPG Manufacturer, is seeking a seasoned Manager of Distribution to deliver leadership and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for managing the distribution of product across North America, optimizing logistics, promoting efficiency, and delivering cost savings for all supply chain related initiatives. The ideal candidate is proactive and works collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure strong cohesion across the organization, deliver results, and superior customer satisfaction.  This is a hands-on role that is both tactical and strategic in nature.

The Role:
  • Manage the day to day prioritization of orders with the warehouse top proactively manage the order fulfillment to customers
  • Partner with internal Supply Chain and Production departments and 3PLs to optimize delivery times and achieve KPI’s                                                                                          
  • Anticipate possible issues/opportunities to ensure solution-oriented approach to delivering the best possible customer experience
  • Manage day to day Logistics and maintain strong communication with Freight Forwarding partners and 3PL providers  
  • Lead and implement KPI’s and initiatives to impact supply chain, logistics, IT within the organization
  • Manage, recruit, develop and motivate the logistics team to collaborate and communicate to become a high performing collaborative team
  • Optimize order execution through the simplification of process and root cause analysis of reoccurring operational issues 
  • Engage and evaluate vendors to find solutions and improve delivery times and customer satisfaction    

The Ideal Candidate:
  • 10+ years of experience in distribution, manufacturing and/or operations environments ideally in a fast paced CPG environment     
  • Post Secondary degree in Supply Chain, Business or related    
  • Proven experience managing, coaching and developing a high performing team                                
  • Experience and knowledge in logistics and transportation processes in both domestic and international    
  • Demonstrated experience implementing process improvement initiatives that drive company growth and efficiency                                                             
  • Strong decision making background in an ambiguous environment with a bias for action   
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively relate to all levels of the organization           
  • Comfortable working in a Hybrid model (3 days in office/ 2 Remote)
