On-Site Project Manager

Location: Washington DC

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 w/ 10% annual bonus (depending on experience)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our clients team in Washington DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial glazing and installation, with a focus on storefront and curtain wall projects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of glazing projects, from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple storefront and curtain wall projects concurrently, from pre-construction to closeout.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Review and fully understand shop drawings, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Provide oversight and guidance to project teams to ensure compliance with contract documents, including drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct extrusion take-offs and manage material procurement for projects.
• Coordinate with structural engineers and other trades to ensure seamless integration of glazing systems with the structure and other building components.
• Oversee the installation of aluminum and glass doors, including hardware, ensuring proper fit, function, and aesthetic quality.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and progress, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure work is being performed according to project plans and specifications.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and any potential risks or delays.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in storefront and curtain wall project management within the commercial glazing industry.
• Extensive experience with stick-built systems, including storefront and curtain wall installations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting shop drawings, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Strong understanding of contract document requirements, including contracts, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of extrusion take-offs and material procurement processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, from inception to completion.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with industry best practices, building codes, and safety regulations.
