Summary of Position:
Our client is seeking a project manager with over 8 years of experience in the architectural industry. This individual will be responsible for managing & coordinating multiple architectural projects from concept to close out.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage small to mid-sized projects, coordinate with clients, consultants and internal teams
- Manages budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation
- Fee estimation, defining work scope, preparing proposals & contracts
- Resolves problems/issues related to consultants or/and team members
- Document review pertaining to code compliance in all phases and issue code interpretations
- Supervise and resolve issues in preparation of construction documents
- Prepare and manage work plans, schedules, budgets, staffing projections, and fees for large projects, and coordinate billing
- Support senior project manager and/or principal pertaining to delegation of work
- Mentor and manage assigned staff & delegate tasks and duties with excellent leadership skills
- Assist with marketing proposals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
- 8+ Years of experience in architecture
- 5+ years of managing architectural projects/teams
- Strong leadership skills / ability to delegate tasks to team members
- Ability to write and edit specs
- Strong understanding of liabilities & municipal approval processes in relation to projects
- LEED/Sustainable Certification or knowledge considered an asset
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, InDesign, Projects, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
