Summary of Position:
Our client is looking for a full-time Intern Architect with 4+ years of post graduate experience in a local architecture firm. 

Role Responsibilities:

• Assisting in preparation of drawing submission, building permits and other construction administration tasks
• Participate in the preparation of construction drawings and specifications
• Participate in meetings with clients, consultants and leadership
• Prepare Architectural 3D Renders for project presentations
• Participate in re-zoning applications and assist with presentations and responses to municipal design panels and councils
• Participate in the conceptual design of projects and develop preliminary plans
• Perform or coordinate space planning studies: programming documents, area calculations, code review

Qualifications: 

• 4+ years of post graduate experience, local preferred
• Architecture Degree from an accredited program
• Strong Design and 3D Modelling Skills; experience with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp
• Experience in the preparation of DD & CD documentation for multifamily, mid-rise wood frame projects in BC
• Understanding of sustainable design, including LEED, BC Energy Step Code, BC Building Code and Bylaws
• Registered Intern or eligible to be registered with AIBC
• Personable with effective verbal and written communication skills
• An active interest in BIM
