The Director of Operations will lead our speciality manufacturing client's Operations Team on 2 sites (AB & in the US) while working in concert with Engineering, leveraging and integrating manufacturing information systems (MRP, PDM, production planning).  

Ideal Operations Director candidates will have most of the following attributes:

• 10+ years progressive specialty industrial manufacturing production leadership skills & experience including managing trades ideally with some assembly operations experience (pumps, compressors &/or other related products)
• PEng / PE likely, CET/ RETs also considered
• Some Machining oversight experience (CNC and or manual) would be an asset
• Experience manufacturing to inventort targets / establishing targets would be an asset
• Some knowledge / experience with Parametric Process Control methods (i.e., HVOF, welding, cladding & other process where final testing cannot assure product quality) woul be an asset
• some other nice to haves though not essentail: some purchasing management, some foundry operations management, some casting procurement, some production support / manufacturing engineering
