The Firm
A growing architectural design build firm (30 people) with a modern office seeks a Revit based designer with some experience in mid-rise concrete steel residential projects, or mixed-use commercial projects. The firm is run by OAA licensed Architects with substantial overseas construction experience; well-versed in Revit, AI & technology trends. This role will initially be focused on the production of working drawings in Revit. They seek a candidate wishing to work alongside co-workers on a daily basis to grow their Revit skills; an individual wanting to later grow into a Team Lead.    

You Possess

• A diploma in architectural technology or bachelor of architecture degree; the ability to hand-sketch a wall assembly or building science concept   
• 2+ years of full-time on-the job use of Revit; experience using Revit for schematic design & design development, Revit for SPAs (including schedules and forms using area plans), Revit for building permits (including wall assemblies), & Revit for section detailing    
• 5+ years work experience navigating the Ontario Building Code in the design of commercial, retail, & condo projects 
• A Revit portfolio of projects of moderate complexity with a good level of detailing, demonstrating a solid understanding of building science (beams, columns, trusses, air vapor barriers); millwork details a plus
• Project coordination experience across multiple stakeholders and subconsultants       
• A car & desire to work collaboratively every day in an office   
• Strong communication skills; ability to express oneself well in English; some experience interacting with clients: dealing with RFIs, SIs, change orders, shop drawings and addendums
