Our client is seeking an Excavation Estimator to join their reputable construction company, focusing on excavation for highrise projects.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurately estimating and analyzing costs associated with excavation activities for highrise construction.
• Conduct detailed analysis of project plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports to determine the scope of excavation work.
• Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates by calculating material volumes, labor requirements, and equipment usage for excavation.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, including engineers, architects, and subcontractors, to gather necessary information and clarify excavation project requirements.
• Utilize industry-standard software and tools to perform cost estimations efficiently and ensure accuracy.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoff for excavation materials and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and propose innovative excavation solutions while maintaining project quality and safety.
• Prepare competitive bid proposals based on accurate cost estimations and excavation project requirements.
• Maintain organized project files, generate reports on cost estimates and variances, and assist in change order estimates.
• Salary 100k+ depending on experience

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• 4-7  years of experience in excavation estimation for highrise projects.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication are required.
• Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software and knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and soil conditions is desired.
