Summary of Position:
The Architect will directly support the principals in charge on a diverse range of public focused building types, including sports venues, convention centers, and transportation facilities. Our client is looking for someone who has experience in all project phases and can independently manage clients, teams and schedules with a high degree of professionalism.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead in developing, modifying, and reviewing design concepts, production drawings and construction documents according to established standards and technical expertise
  • Manage and / or assist in design and operational research, building & systems programming, site and building analysis and report documentation
  • Develop design concepts and documents during the schematic and design development stages
  • Assist PM's in the construction administration process
  • Research code requirements and develop solutions to complex technical problems
  • Develop alternative design solutions and analyze their feasibility
  • Coordinate the work of consultants, engineers, and other disciplines involved in the project
  • Coordinate directly with clients regarding the design development process & construction administration process 
  • Manage and/or assist in preparing design presentations to clients, communities, and other pertinent stakeholders, including public agencies
  • Bring a collaborative, adaptable and outgoing attitude to your role
  • Serve as a mentor to junior staff


Qualifications: 

  • 6+ years of post graduate experience in an architectural firm
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in architecture
  • Registered Architect in the state of Texas
  • Advanced Revit skills required
  • Strong sketching and freehand drawings skills. Ability to create quick sketches to convey/sell an idea is critical
  • Rendering and 3D modeling experience with 3DS Max, Sketch Up and Maxwell Render
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign preferred
  • Strong communication skills, team oriented, self-driven work ethic and ability to meet fast-paced project demands.
  • Inventive, creative design thinking, collaborative skill, architectural production, spatial and environmental design ability, story creation, and quality design sensibility is a requisite.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete construction, building envelope, building detailing and building systems
