Building Envelope Restoration (BER) Estimator

Salary Range: $100,000- $140,000  + Bonus
Location: Austin, TX or San Antonio, TX

Our client, a prominent full-service roofing and exterior services provider, is in search of a Commercial Building Envelope Restoration Estimator  with a background in commercial roofing to expand their dynamic team.
 
As a BER Estimator, you'll specialize in estimating Building Envelope Restoration projects within a designated territory. This pivotal role involves developing cost estimates and construction schedules, from rough-order-of-magnitude to detailed working cost estimates. You'll guide owner selections and present results in a format suitable for client and design team use. We're seeking an individual with exceptional people and communication skills, who can think creatively for problem-solving.
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and staff to understand project requirements.
• Reinforce our value proposition and cultivate relationships with owners, contractors, suppliers, and potential customers.
• Expand client portfolio by identifying new Building Envelope Restoration opportunities.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and manage bid invitations and requests for proposals (RFPs).
• Review project specifications and drawings, compile project notes, RFIs, and scope development.
• Handle estimating tasks including bids, pricing, and change orders.
• Analyze existing and proposed processes, staff, and materials to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Develop detailed proposals and cost estimates based on data analysis and research.
• Prepare reports forecasting production scenarios and make recommendations.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to facilitate project handoffs and resolve client disputes efficiently.
• Identify opportunities to improve estimated costs and coordinate with project management and production teams.
• Participate in financial analysis of job completions, track performance metrics, and bid results.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

 
Required Skills:
 

• High School Diploma / GED
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project managing/estimating in Building Envelope Restoration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to create forecasts based on financial data.
• Proficiency in analyzing specifications and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
