As the Lead Data Scientist within the Data & Analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Data Science innovation. Collaborating closely with our data science teams nationally and internationally, you will partner with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients to deliver cutting-edge decision science models and attributes. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum, including developing new tools, advanced analytical techniques, and products. Additionally, you will lead the vision and strategy for Data Science, contribute to the redesign of data science model development lifecycle, and provide mentorship to junior and intermediate data scientists to foster their career growth and skill enhancement.

What You’ll Do:

Lead the vision and strategy of Data Science, and develop innovative tools, advanced analytical techniques, and products. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to develop proprietary analytical products and effectively communicate analytical results using strong data visualizations and presentation skills. Redesign the data science model development lifecycle and provide recommendations to support solving complex business problems. Ensure quality control of analytical output and mentor junior and intermediate data scientists for career development. What Experience You Need:

• 5+ years’ data science experience with proficiency in Python, SQL, or R in a large data environment.
• Perform hands-on data analysis and modeling with huge data sets
• Apply data mining, NLP, and machine learning (both supervised and unsupervised) to improve relevance and personalization algorithms
• Work side-by-side with product managers, software engineers, and designers in designing experiments and minimum viable products
• Discover data sources, get access to them, import them, clean them up, and make them “model-ready”. You need to be willing and able to do your own ETL
• Create and refine features from the underlying data. You’ll enjoy developing just enough subject matter expertise to have an intuition about what features might make your model perform better, and then you’ll lather, rinse and repeat
• Run regular A/B tests, gather data, perform statistical analysis, draw conclusions on the impact of your optimizations and communicate results to peers and leaders
• Explore new design or technology shifts in order to determine how they might connect with the customer benefits we wish to deliver
• In-depth understanding of advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and implementing analytical solutions.
• Expertise in machine learning software such as scikit learn, XGBoost, Tensorflow, PyTorch, Transformers.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics.

What Could Set You Apart:

• Background in financial services, telecommunications, or utilities.
• Experience with credit or fraud data and leadership in mentorship.
• Experience with development and deployment of models in a cloud-based environment.
• Master’s level degree in a business-related field/MBA."
