Our client, a renowned full-service roofing and exterior services provider, is seeking a Senior Project Manager with commercial roofing expertise for their office in Austin, Tx.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in planning, resource allocation, budgeting, progress monitoring, and ensuring clear communication with upper management throughout the project's lifecycle. You'll be responsible for managing multiple projects of varying sizes and complexities within the roofing and commercial construction sector.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams to successfully complete assigned projects within specified timelines, adhering to project specifications and maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Define project tasks and delegate responsibilities among team members.
- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis and provide expected cost estimates for the project.
- Develop and implement budgets based on self-prepared cost estimates.
- Perform risk assessments, report identified risks to management, and offer recommendations for risk mitigation, which may include project termination if deemed necessary.
- Address and resolve questions, concerns, and complaints throughout the project.
- Act as a liaison between our company, customers, and vendors.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Identify opportunities within cost estimates to exceed projected cost and collaborate with project management and production teams.
- Participate in financial analysis upon project completion, tracking performance metrics and bid results.
- Fulfill other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in project management in a top tier commercial roofing company
- Proficiency in commercial roofing, particularly with single-ply, asphalt, cold applied, hot applied, and metal projects is preferred.
- Extensive experience with managing multi-million dollar commercial roofing projects required (ability to provide a detail project list is considered an asset)
- Experience with managing large reroofing projects in the commercial government sector considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to create forecasts based on financial data.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software, preferably with experience in Edge Estimating and Procore.
- Capability to analyze project specifications and drawings.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
