OUR CLIENT
A new opening exists with one of our long term, reputable and well established clients in Edmonton - a dynamic and modern architecture firm. This firm work on a wide range of project types and offer remote work, as well as the possibility to work a hybrid model if you prefer to be in office. They are on the hunt for a talented architectural technologist / technical expert.

THE JOB
As an Architectural Technologist, you will be involved in the following:
  • Develop full sets of construction documents, working drawing packages, blueprints, building and development permits and details for a broad range of project types
  • Working with BIM processes
  • Prepare drawings, models and renderings, following office standards
  • Coordination with consultants and team members
  • Site visits, site review and some basic CA responsibilities
  • Liaise with architects and contract administrators to ensure satisfactory technical delivery on projects
  • Perform programming, code research, material and building systems research, site surveys and field reviews, laying out program components and calculating program and building areas 
  • Perform basic research and code checks

WHAT'S REQUIRED
To be considered for this role, you should have the following skills, qualifications and experience:
  • Have successfully completed an architectural related post-secondary education - A bachelor of Architecture or diploma in Architectural Technology or related 
  • Possess 5 - 15 years of experience working with Architectural Design, and have strong knowledge of the building codes either locally or nationally
  • Good knowledge in the use of Revit
  • Ideally have worked on a range of projects including some mixed use, commercial,  community, high rise, public and industrial projects
  • Possess superior time management, communication and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate an ability to coordinate with other team members and to collaborate with other professional disciplines
