ICI- Site Superintendent

Successful applicants must have ground up Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional experience. New Build experience a must. 
As a Site Superintendent, you will collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and on-site staff to ensure the successful and timely completion of projects. The Site Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day activities on the construction site ensuring high-standards of safety, workmanship, and efficiency. Reporting to the Project Manager and Management staff.
Duties
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, consultants, trade contractors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies to prepare and execute project plans
  • Assist in the development of the project schedule and create and implement lookahead schedules to foresee challenges ahead and  problem-solve or adjust the projected durations before schedule overruns happen.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the job site
  • Manage, schedule, and supervise sub-trades and site staff to ensure work is, planned and performed efficiently
  • Ensure that projects are, built according to the contact documents, approved construction plans, specifications, design drawings applicable codes and Rochon's strict standard of quality 
  • Ensure all required inspections are completed and passed by 3rd party agencies, municipal inspectors, consultants or any party having jurisdiction.  
  • Maintain and submit daily reports to document site progress, inspections, and other occurrences
  • Chair subtrade coordination meetings and record and distribute meeting minutes
  • Execute our Health & Safety plan which includes completing regular documentation
  • Advise senior management of potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts
  • Submit Requests For Information as required.
Qualifications
  • Industrial, Commercial, Institutional (ICI) construction experience required 
  • Base buildings experience required 
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, and specifications
  • Visualize the project, anticipate constructability issues, and provide solutions to the construction plan and schedule
  • Schedule, monitor and forecast resources for optimum efficiency
  • Be safety-oriented with a thorough understanding of health and safety requirements and regulations
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication/people skills
  • Must possess valid certifications in working at heights, first aid, basics of supervising, WHMIS and supervisor health and safety awareness training. 
  • Ability to travel to site and off-site locations as required
  • Gold Seal Certified is an asset
  • Experience with Raken Daily Report software is an asset 
  • Experience with the IHSA COR certification program is an asset 
  • Solid computer skills required
  • Must possess strong time management skills and be initiative-taking
  • Ability to work flexible hours as the project schedule demands

Compensation: $120-150K plus benefits and RRSP
