Job description

Project Manager's Main Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Oversees total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
• Responsible for overall project performance and reporting in areas including, but not limited to safety, cost/budget, schedule, quality and project status
• Training and mentoring project team to develop their skills in construction management.
• Coordinate the transfer of baseline plans to project execution team as won business moves to execution
• Identify and obtain approvals due to changes of scope, budget or construction schedule.
• Monitors project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, safety and environment, and quality control
• Conducts site tours, including safety inspections
• Lead by example to ensure policies, procedures and standards are adhered to
• Mentors, coaches, supervises and assesses performance of direct reports and other team members
• Oversees project closeout

Requirements

• 6-10 years of construction management experience 
• Post-secondary diploma in a construction related discipline or engineering.
• experience in overseeing commercial, institutional, and industrial projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work within a team.
• Experience with leading, supporting, and managing project team and providing regular feedback on performance.
• Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, potential problems, and time-lines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and MS Project.

Compensation: $130-$140K dependent on experience
