In this position, you are responsible for:
- Identifying and targeting new business in need of plywood products throughout North America through in-depth market research and networking.
- Develop supply partnerships with plywood producers and structure a deep knowledge of all related products.
- Negotiate product pricing, terms and contracts with all suppliers in line with company strategy.
- Work closely with internal teams involved in logistics and operations ensuring seamless transactions.
- Consistently engage with new and existing clients to ensure that you understand their needs.
- Be the source for up to date product information and market trends as a value added service.
If the following sounds a lot like you:
- Solid knowledge of plywood products which would include buying/selling for buying groups with practical knowledge via hands on experience supporting procurement in a manufacturing, retail, residential multi family setting.
- Have a degree or diploma in business, finance, sales/business development or related. A definite asset.
- Prior experience that required you to influence peoples’ decisions, also an asset.
- Success driven. You need to be recognized as a pro and you like your place at the top of the ladder.
- Willing to take in whatever knowledge you have access to and then spin it into your process for success.
- A great communicator who is comfortable in virtually any setting.
- A great collaborator.
